Camp Little River is a Hand Hooked Cotton rug. It has a 100% Cotton face and a Burlap back. The Cotton is new and Recycled Cotton Fabric. Making this a "true" Hand Hooked rug. The Beauty of this rug is in the workmanship of the Dyers...Rich Blues, Pale Blue, Sky Blue, Light Blue, Medium Blues, and Grey Blues,,,all make up the watery field. The unlevel dying makes the water look real. The brightly colored Fish, swim back and forth on the rug. The Fish are made up of shades of Blues, Pale Pinks, Rose, Flesh,Purple, Greens, Browns, Golds, Yellows, Salmons, and Greys of the fish made the Fish so realistic. The Outside Border of the rug is Rich shades of Brown and Violet. And there is a inside scalloped border of dirty white. Great for all rooms and all homes. Custom Sizing welcomed. The manufacturer has strived to be faithful to the original designs, construction and materials found in the original American hooked rugs. Traditional Hooked rugs are truly an art form. They are made by taking old fabrics and cutting them into narrow strips. Burlap(often recycled food sacks) was used as the foundation. A needle with a hook on it pushed through from the top of the rug, and the fabric was then drawn to the surface. Thus hooked rugs are often called "drawn-in-rugs". This rug is made exactly the same way, one loop at a time. In their attempt to be "green", they use environmentally correct recycled fabrics, where ever possible.
